We had a wonderful time visiting family in Missouri and Kansas. Our trip to the midwest started in Kansas with a quick visit with Bruce, Brian's brother and his girlfriend Shirley. They live in Westmoreland, KS, a beautiful little town with a Soda Foutain. Ben had a strawberry shake at the soda fountain.

We returned to MO and spent Saturday with Dad and Lois and the Lyon Family. Ben had a great time playing with Aunt Saretta, Grandma Lu, and Uncle Francis.

Ben did so well during our visit to Missouri. On Sunday, Mother's Day, Ben joined Grandma at church. Grandma's Sunday School class had said many prayers for him, so they all celebrated his homecoming. After Sunday School, we enjoyed dinner with the Marshall Family. I think Ben is still in shock at the thought of so many great aunts and uncles and cousins.

Of all the things, I think the green grass was a favorite of his. He spent a lot of time just enjoying the outdoors. He walked Uncle Raymen around the yard and rolled in the grass.

On Monday, we traveled back to Kansas to spend a day on the Winter Farm. Ben had a wonderful time riding Uncle Raymen's mower and climbing up in the tractors. "Tractor" and "Big Truck" became common words for Benjamin. We tried to get him to spend some time inside, but he would bat those eyes at Uncle Raymen, and off they would go to ride the mower again or climb up in the big truck.

Because of his hair, it looks like he is speeding by on that big tractor....he wasn't actually moving was he? :)
