Despite what some of you may think... we have proof that Brian and I are fine, upstanding citizens. Our FBI clearances came in today with "no record" stamped on the back. This is the last piece of paperwork (we think) that we need for court. We will be hand carrying them to Russia.
We still have no court date, and would appreciate your prayers. I am VERY ready to get back to Russia to my girls. All of the paperwork requested of us has made it to Russia. There is one group of papers that were shipped from Moscow to Tomsk last week, and they have not yet made there way across the continent. Please pray that these documents arrive in Tomsk right away and that they can be delivered to the judge. May 1-4 and May 8-9 are holidays in Russia, so the courts will be closed. It is most likely we will not hear anything until the week of May 11.
Last week we explained to Ben that we would be flying on an airplane to Russia to get Abby and Libby. He had a few questions at first, then seemed to drop the whole thing. Wrong. Since then, he has told me every day that he wants to go see Abby and Libby in Russia on an airplane. I thought he would be mostly excited about the airplane trip, but instead find that he is most anxious to see Abby and Libby. It's sweet, but it is breaking my heart. Mama wants to go to Russia on an airplane too.
