First Steps

Libby had her fitting today for her new prosthetic leg. She did great. They had to try it on over and over and she didn't get too frustrated.

Once the socket fit, they attached the rest of the leg to it and checked for length. It was way too long and had to be shortened.

Once the leg was fitted, she took off walking with some help from the bars. The knee is locked, so it is straight right now. She will have to learn how to use the knee with some help from physical therapy. They are going to finish her leg up and she may get to take it home next week.
