Benjamin got a big boy bed!!

And he actually slept in it last night. Tonight, he wasn't too sure and ended up back in the crib. But we are hopeful that little by little he will get used to the new bed. He does seem to like it and he likes the freedom. Last night it was a challenge to get him to stay in the bed. Just when we thought the battle was over and he had finally gone to sleep, he comes walking out of the bedroom, climbs up on the couch and settles in to watch TV without a word. I think he didn't expect us to notice him. He was quickly put back in bed and did stay. But bright and early this morning, as soon as we were making noise in the kitchen, he came walking out jabbering about breakfast.

Tonight he decided to return to the safety and security of the crib. It may seem odd that we have two beds up in his room, but we are getting things in order for our next adoption. We are hoping to adopt two children this time around. So we needed to take pictures of the nursery with two beds ready for two more kids. Granted, right now Ben is sleeping in both beds, but that will be remedied by the time the next two come home.

We attempted to clean things up a bit for the pictures. We also made Ben's bed a little more girly, as we have requested at least one girl. We plan to paint the other bedroom purple and pink for the girl room. Brian is wanting to decorate Ben's room with dinosaurs driving cars. We know it will be a bit crowded, but we are excited to add to our family and provide a loving home for two more kids. Now to get Ben excited... I don't think he quite comprehends what is coming.
