A friend of mine, Karin, is in critical condition right now. She found out a couple months ago she has kidney cancer and has been fighting a hard fight. On Tuesday she came down with pneumonia and some type of infection and is in ICU. Her family and her doctors didn't think she would make it and her husband and family expected her to go yesterday after taking her off life support. But as of today she is actually improving and the doctors are more hopeful now. It is a miracle, but she still needs your prayers. She is still in critical condition. We are praying for COMPLETE healing... not just from the current infection she is fighting, but also from the cancer.

I know Karin through our adoption agency. Her and her husband, Steve, brought their son, Kevin, home from Russia about a year before we got Ben. We became chat group buddies during the long wait. In June they brought home their new son Kien from Vietnam and almost 4 weeks ago Steve brought home their daughter Aria from Vietnam. Kevin is Ben's age, 4 years old, and Kien and Aria are 18 months old.

Karin has been a huge encouragement to me through the wait on both of our adoptions. She and her husband contributed to our adoption fund and also sent shower presents. She is an amazing person. To read about her journey thru cancer, you can read her blog. If you or someone you know has kidney cancer, there are a ton of details about her process.

Thanks for praying!
