Christmas morning was a fun chaotic mess. The girls loved opening presents, and Ben just wanted to be left alone to play with is new bus (it was in his stocking).

On Christmas eve we read the Christmas story and The Night Before Christmas, then prepared cookies and milk for Santa before putting them to bed.
A little later, I heard Libby crying. When I went into talk to her I learned that she was a bit nervous about the toys. I think she was worried about Santa coming into the house, even if he was felivering toys. I then suggested there might be shoes under the tree or a kookla (doll) and suddenly she was pretty excited about the idea of Santa.
The next morning, Ben was very impressed that Santa had drank the milk that was left for him. Throughout the day, Ben would come to tell me that Santa drank all the milk. It was cute to see them catching on to Santa.
As I mentioned before, Ben loved a bus that Santa brought in his stocking. Libby received some "bling" as you can see in the picture below. She and Abby also got dress-up clothes from Uncle Jerry. They love to dress up. Abby just loved opening presents. She didn't really care what was inside, but she could be heard all day saying, "presents, presents, presents..." You get the idea!
We also sang Happy Birthday Jesus throughout the hoiday season, along with Away in a Manger. Away in a Manger (called Baby Jesus by my kids) is a nightly request at bedtime. We sing it almost every night even now as we rock Libby and Abby.
Here are a few pictures from the holiday.
