Libby had an MRI today. We had to be at UMC today at 12:00. Libby didn't get to eat after midnight last night, but she could have clear liquids until 10:00 AM. Lori told me Popsicles count as a clear liquid, so all three kids had Popsicles for breakfast this morning. They thought it was great. No idea they were missing out on anything.
Libby had to be put under anesthesia for the MRI. So we had to put her in a little hospital gown. The gown was too big, so she looked even littler with it on.

The MRI took awhile and then she was taken to the PACU area. We were taken back before she had even awakened and were there when she opened her eyes. She woke up startled and immediately wanted her IV out. Pretty normal from what I understand. She was given more Popsicles when she woke up. From her perspective, I think it was a good day.

We have a pre-op appointment with Dr. Valencia next week and will then know more about the surgery. The surgery is scheduled for February 20. We are hoping to meet with the prosthetic company in the next few weeks as well so we better understand what is ahead of us.
Libby did awesome and we know today's adventure will prepare her for next month. When she returns for the surgery, it won't be all new.

Pam,
So glad to hear it went well! I saw your email on the yahoo group and was praying for her. It is very scary to think of your little one being put under. I will be praying for your family as you all prepare for the upcoming surgery.
