I have not blogged in awhile. Things have just seemed a bit crazy lately and we are trying to keep up. Once the kids have gone to sleep (optimal blogging time), I follow suit and crash into my own comfy bed. Last week was spring break, so the kids were home all week. Ben and Libby miss school when it is not in session. It has been warm here and we know summer is on its way. The last few days have been a bit cool, but prior to the cool spell (70's) we had reached the 90's. Brian has taken the kids to the park a few times. They love to ride their trikes around the park. A few weeks ago they were joined by Luke, Lori and Jason's son. They willingly, or at least somewhat willingly, shared their trike so Luke could ride. Libby used her wheelchair to get around.
Libby continues to do well. She has been off the Vicadin for 3 weeks, only taking the occasional children's ibuprofen. She returns to the Operating Room on Friday to have the stitches removed and a cast made of her leg. Once that is done, we should have her new leg in about 3 weeks. I can't wait to see her up, walking around.
We have also noticed that the surgery has been a real help in attachment. She is showing signs of remorse and is very concerned about Mama and Papa's feelings. This is a major change and one we are glad to see. I think my four days of never leaving her side while she was in the hospital really helped her to realize she can trust me to care for her.

Pam and Brain, so glad to see those grand-kids doing well. Sounds like Libby is adjusting well and I can't imagine the excitement there will be when she is able to walk. Looks like Abby and Ben are growing also. Can't wait to get them all in hand when we come out this spring. Lois and I are really looking forward to the trip.
