We survived camping with only one call to poison control! Benjamin has no injuries except a couple of bruised knees. We had a great time. About the poison control... Ben decided to try Sterno, but he digested very little and poison control just told us to give him plenty of liquids and watch out for the diarhea.
Benjamin slept very well in his pack and play and fleece footy pj's. The days were warm with afternoon showers that cooled things down. The nights were pretty chilly and damp. Benjamin spent most of his time getting into the camping gear. I had not thought of it before, but there are no cabinets to hide things in when camping. So we spent a lot of time keeping him out of stuff or cleaning off the items he dropped on the ground. Benjamin also enjoyed exploring the great outdoors.
When we first arrived, Benjamin played with Emmy, a little girl at the campsite next door. Emmy kept trying to kiss Benjamin, but Benjamin didn't seem to mind.
We went hiking one day and Benjamin didn't quite get the hang of it. He kept wanting to go the opposite direction on the trail. But he did learn to climb rocks, and from that point on, everytime he landed on a rock, he yelled "ta da" or "Yay Benjamin".
