Ben is having a great time at school. He loves riding the bus and that is the main thing he is talking about right now. He tells everyone he sees that he rides the big bus to school. Just for clarification, Ben is in a preschool program through the school district. It is two hours a day, three days a week. But since it is provided by the school district, they also provide bus transportation. Having Ben picked up every day has been very helpful for Papa. Last year, Papa took him to school each day, but that is not as easy now. Yesterday, Libby was screened for the preschool program. We go back for further evaluation next month. It does look like she will also qualify for the extra help and will be in the same program, getting on the same bus with Ben each day. She will be in the 3-year old class. Ben has Ms. Jill again this year and we really like her. She likes having him in class. She told us a story from one of his first days. To be dismissed, he has to answer a question every day. The other day the question was, "are you a boy or a girl?" Ben knows he is a boy, but when asked he said "girl". Ms. Jill knows we had just adopted two girls and knew this was Ben's way of communicating that our home is filled with girl stuff right now.

Speaking of girls, I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about Abby. I promise to tell you about Libby in the near future. Abby is our goofball. She loves to giggle, loves food and loves to swing. She spends most of her time following Mama or Papa around, though you can find her playing on occasion.

Despite her usually cheerful demeanor, she HATES going to bed. Yet, she can fall asleep almost anywhere and if she is tired, it is near impossible to keep her awake. Here she has fallen asleep standing in her crib protesting being put to bed.

And here she has fallen asleep in her highchair.

Speaking of highchair, Abby has to be one of the messiest eaters I have seen. Food always ends up in her hair and she has LOTS of hair for a little one her age. So it is quite the mess. She doesn't mind food on her hands. Applesauce has learned she is the jackpot at mealtime. She lays underneath Abby's seat and waits for the droppings.

Pam,
Forget gymnastics, I think Ben needs to be in a break dancing class! It took my girls about two months of gymnastics before they could do a (sort of) cartwheel. I think he needs some advanced class.

My Anya ate like Abby does. We nicknamed her pigpen when she was first home. She loved her food, but ended up wearing a lot of it.

Glad to read an update to know you all are adjusting. Two is a challenge, I can't imagine three!
