Sorry we haven't blogged in awhile. Mama has been very sick with the flu. I spent Saturday in bed and might as well have been there yesterday. I am feeling a bit better today. Papa has been amazing. He has taken care of the kids expertly. Abby is liking Papa now. Libby is still terrified of Applesauce, so our poor dog has not been in the house much lately. We are not sure how to help her with this fear. I think Ben is missing Applesauce. We found him in the crate with her the other day.
Our church is providing meals this week, which is a great blessing. It's been a very difficult few days with flu, jet lag, three toddlers and adjusting. Abby, Libby and Ben are doing well. Here's some pictures from the last few days together.

Pam-
We had the same problem with our son- he screamed bloody murder (and would shake uncontrollably) whenever our dog (a big Golden) was in his sight. We tried telling him in Russian that it was O.K. and that she wouldn't hurt him, but that didn't work. We even tried having our other kids show him that she is not something to fear (respect, yes- fear, no), but this didn't work either. Finally, after about a week, we were desperate and just held him and forced him to pet her (just for a moment or so) whenever she would enter the room. We would then tell him it was O.K. and that he was safe. After a few days of this, we held him and had him give her a treat. when he did it (even though he was screaming the entire time), we made a huge deal about it (even took video of it), and that seemed to be the ice breaker. After that, we made it his job (with Mama's help, of course) to feed her every day. He loves doing it and is so proud when he gets to tell her to come eat. Now he loves her dearly and begs to feed her all day, every day.
Good luck!
