It's been a bit crazy lately and I have not had a chance to blog. We are doing fine, just seems a little extra busy. Things are coming along for Libby's surgery. We saw the surgeon on Monday and he's prepared for the surgery. We have an appointment on Tuesday with her pediatrician for a basic before surgery check-up. Then we have an appointment on Feb 16 with the anesthesiologist and the pain management team at UMC to go over the plans for the surgery and after. We have an appointment on Thursday, Feb 19 with the prosthetist so we will know more about the prosthetic and what her future options will be. And finally, we have the surgery on Friday, February 20. It seems a bit crazy.

We got Libby a special doll. It will be a surprise for her at the hospital. You can check it out at http://www.sew-dolling.com/dollys_friends.htm. The doll has two prosthetic legs, one above the knee and one below the knee. Libby's prosthetic will be at the knee. We are hoping the doll will help her in the adjustment. We also got a hospital gown for the doll and she comes with crutches. I think Libby will like her a lot.

Tomorrow is Ben's birthday and he is very excited about turning 5. He has requested cake and a jumping castle. We are planning a birthday party for February 15. We decided to splurge and buy a jumping castle we can use over and over rather than renting one for one day. We figure we have 3 toddlers who love jumping castles, so we will get a lot of use out of it. I ordered it today, and am praying it will be here in time for the birthday party. I know it's a silly request, but if you think of us, please pray it travels here quickly.

I will try to post pictures tomorrow from Ben's birthday. He is taking Little Debbie football cakes to school tomorrow to celebrate his birthday!
