It is July 6 and boy are we having fun. Benjamin is learning so many things and having a great time with Papa and Momma.

On Monday Benjamin helped Papa in the back yard. Brian was digging a drainage trench, so Ben decided to get his shovel and help. At least this shovel was his size. He first tried to use the same shovel Papa was using. We are impressed with his upper body strength. He can pick up rather heavy items and has good coordination. One of his favorite "toys" is a big plastic bin with Children's Ministry stuff in it. He carries and scoots it all around the house, and thankfully, the lid has only come off once. We quickly recovered, and the lid is securely attached once again.

I am wondering why we ever bought this little guy toys. He prefers to play with trach cans, empty water bottles, and the dog's water bowl. As he discovers more about his new home, he is starting to play with the toys better. I think he is just investigating.

Well, I hope you are enjoying hearing a little about Ben. I will try to update this every week or so. I return to work part-time on July 17 and I am starting on my Master's on July 31. I know I will have little extra time. But I can't help but want to share our bundle of joy with you. He is such a blessing.

Uncle Wayne and I have been overjoyed with watching the CD of Ben last April and then following your recent trip to bring Ben home. Our prayers remain constantly for the three of you. Ben is a doll, I love to hear every detail of his progress. Much Love to Momma and Papa and (((Huggles)))to Ben.
