Today, Benjamin slept in until 7:45, so Mom and Dad got to sleep in too. We are feeling much better after some rest. Ben's personality is really coming out as he gets to know us. Last night he was so talkative, jabbering on and on as Brian and I prepared dinner. He had us laughing as he told us all about his day (or at least that's what we decided he was jabbering about). He is picking up English so quickly. H
e knows to hug and kiss when I ask for "loves" or a kiss. Yesterday when I went to change a dirty diaper, I said he was stinky and he repeated stinky, even wrinkling up his nose as I had done. It won't be long before he is talking.
Just now as I type, he saw Brian laying on the floor and ran over and jumped on him. We haven't seen him wrestle like that yet. Today, Brian got out the tunnel, a toy item we bought months ago at Ikea. Benjamin is having a blast crawling through the tunnel. Brian tried to get through, but that did not go too well. :) Ben is taking his trucks through the tunnel and then running them throughout the rest of the house.
Yesterday, Ben took his first trip to Lowe's. We did not get pictures and I am not sure he liked it too well. I think he though PVC pipe was boring. We then took him to ToysRUs, and he liked that a lot more. We were looking for a ride on car and a jungle jim. Ben tried out a ride on scooter that he seemed to like. We are still looking for the right thing.
It is time for me to stop typing and go play!

Pam and Brian, I'm so enjoying this way of telling us the details of how Ben is learning new things. I will be anxious to hear about his trike or bike ride and all his new English words he learns. I just can't imagine what his thoughts might be, not to hear his native language. Soon it will pass I'm sure. Sounds like he is having a ball discovering the world. God Bless you all.
Love Aunt Sarretta
