Papa and Ben had their first morning together while Momma worked. I did not like returning to work, even though I did come home before Ben got up from his nap. It was still very difficult to leave him. He's just so much fun! Brian and Ben spent the morning outside working in the backyard. Brian did get work done, and I came home to find the drainage pipe in place and the trench filled in. I was impressed, considering all this was done with the help of a 2-year old.
Benjamin continues to impress us with his development. Today he said "applesauce" and "Elmo's world". On Saturday we went to Wal-Mart and when we returned home he grabbed his toy shopping cart and started collecting food from the kitchen to put inside. I think it finally "clicked" that it was a shopping cart like the one he rode in at Wal-Mart. We ran into Uncle Logan and Aunt Melanie at Wal-Mart so they joined us for supper. Benjamin got a new toy at Wal-Mart that required some assembly. Uncle Logan kept Ben and Lilly busy while Papa assembled the Kangaroo Climber.

Once the climber was put together, Ben had a great time climbing, sliding and crawling. The new climber is a gift from Grandpa and Lois and we can tell he likes it.

Ben went sto a pool on Friday, be we forgot the camera. He had a great time and really enjoyed the water. He wore swim floaties and is working on kicking. I think he will pick up swimming very quickly.
There's never a dull moment around here! I have two full days at work and then will get to be home in the afternoons on Thursday and Friday. This mom thing sure is fun!
