Melanie is with us!!


It has been brought to me attention that despite her attendance on this journey, she has not been mentioned or photographed on the blog. So let me tell you about Melanie...

Melanie is Ben's amazing "aunt". She is actually Mama's niece and is a full-time child care provider. She is also a blessing to our family. When we started talking about taking Ben along on this trip, we knew we would need a caregiver to go along. Melanie was excited to join us from the first discussion. During this trip, she has been away from her husband, daughter and friends and family, yet she remains positive and upbeat. Ben loves her and enjoys his time with her. She has not had the most exciting of jobs, but has seemed to enjoy it no mater what. Today, she and Ben walked to the park while Mama and Papa traveled around the city doing paperwork. They had a great time!

By the way, I do have to be honest, as much as I love Melanie, she has not been my priority on this trip ;)
