Ben and Mama went to the lab for blood tests today. Mama did not cry, but Ben did, not that you can blame him. It is never easy to find those little veins, so it required some digging and a second poke. But he was brave and despite the tears, he did very well. Here he shows off his wound, which he showed everyone. After the blood draw, we went to the mall so he could play a bit.
Ben enjoys the mall play area, espcially the fire truck. Mama did not have the $0.75 needed to make it go, but that didn't stop Ben from enjoying himself.
After playing at the mall, we went to the yogurt place and Ben picked out some colorful yogurt. He is still blue from the yogurt.
Ben has a tough week coming up. Please keep him in your prayers. He has an upper and lower GI scope on Monday. They will put him under anesthesia for the test. He has to drink a Gatorade/Miralax mixture all day Sunday and is on a clear liquid diet all day Sunday and Monday until the procedure. He will have earned some McDonald's after all that. Then on Wednesday, he has the sweat chloride test. We are not sure what it involves, but they told us to bring a jacket and blanket for him because he will need to be very warm. Should be fun!

Ben, just to let you know we will be thinking of you and praying that things will go the best they can. I sure like that fire truck you looked good in it
Grandpa & Lois.
Interesting they are having him drink Miralax/Gatorade....Jack had both as well and couldn't eat/drink for 12 hours prior. Poor Ben! His "cocktail" will keep him on the throne...Praying for him! Please do keep us posted, won't you?
