Please keep Ben in your prayers today. He had a doctor's appointment this morning that has led to the need for several tests over the next few days. He's a trooper and is doing well with all of the prodding and probing. He has been complaining for some time about his bottom hurting. We made an appointment with a Pediatric GI specialist and he wants to do some tests to get to the bottom (literally) of what is wrong. Ben only gained .5 lbs in the last year, despite eating pretty well. We are concerned that he is not digesting food in the right way. They will be doing a blood test, genetic testing, a chloride test (?) and digital x-rays of his stomach and intestines. They are doing the x-rays right now. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.

Also, we have to make an appointment for Libby. She keeps failing her hearing tests and the pediatrician is concerned she has chronic fluid on her ear drum. She will see a pediatric ear, nose and throat doctor and will most likely need tubes in her ears.
