Ben sucks his two middle fingers. At this point, he only does it when he is falling asleep. When I was little, I sucked the exact same two fingers. We did not know Ben sucked those fingers until we had picked him up at the orphanage. He was in a bit of shock as we rode away in the car. Next thing I know, he stuck those two fingers in. I started to cry right then and there...

Fast forward to March 2008 when we met our girls. Our meetings with Abby had been challenging as all she did was cry. On our first visit, I held her and tried to comfort her, but she would not stop crying. I began to really wonder if she was meant to be my child, as she seemed so unhappy. Then she stuck her two middle fingers in her mouth and I knew she was mine!
