Libby slept fairly well Friday night. We had a slight scare around midnight when her epidural tube came undone. Thankfully it was easily fixed and she only went about 15 minutes without the meds. She didn't appear to suffer any from all of it. She was relaxed and slept most of the night. When she woke up she seemed to be feeling pretty good, but it didn't last long. She started getting a fever and complaining of pain. It was hard to tell if she was really in pain, or if the lack of feeling was strange. She refused to eat or drink. Her doctor came around 9:00 AM to see how she was doing and she did not like him touching or looking at her leg. She began to cry and was sobbing, "help, Mama". It broke my heart and I ended up crying with the doctor standing right there.
She was given Tylenol to bring down the fever and slept from 10:30 to 2:30. When she woke up she wanted to sit up, play with her bears and eat. The brown bear with the pink bow was a gift from Grandpa. The tan bear was a gift from her teachers and helpers at school. She also received a bear with balloons from my team at work.
Papa visited a couple time throughout the day. This evening when he came, the worked on a picture together. Libby got to use her new lap desk with scissors and she got to cut. She also had a glitter pen she got to use with her picture.
Her fever has continued throughout the day. She was just given her third dose of Tylenol. We are watching the fever closely, because if there are more signs of infection, they will need to take out the epidural before risking infection in her spinal column. Please keep her in your prayers as she needs the epidural.

Pam,
Glad to hear that the surgery went well. I hope the fever is quickly gone and there is not any worry with infection. I would have cried with the doctor as well--I teared up just reading about your experience! How long is Libby expected to be in the hospital?
