Quick Ben story

Melanie brought Lilly to our house last night before I got home from work. Brian chatted with Melanie for a few minutes and then she left. Moments later there was a knock on the door and a sheriff deputy was standing there. He asked if there was an emergency because they had received several 911 calls within the last few minutes. Ben was standing next to Brian, but when Brian turned around to ask him, Ben took off running. The deputy laughed and said, "the guilty always run". The deputy went on to explain they were assuming it was children because the first call, they could only hear kids voices in the background, the second call no answer and the third call, children's voices again.

We spent some time talking with Ben about what he did. He said he called the police car, but he could not show me what he pushed on the phone. We are not sure if he did it my accident and then kept hitting redial, or if he has recently learned how to call 911 at school. So we spent some time talking about the importance of only calling when Papa or Mama tell him to.
