We are home!!! Libby did very well in adjusting to the oral pain meds. She is sitting in her "wheeley chair" watching Nemo with Ben right now. Libby will be sleeping in Mama and Papa's room tonight. We have a huge regiment of medicines to give her, including several doses at 2 am.
Sunday went fairly well. She was encouraged to blow bubbles to help her lungs and that was a favorite activity. Ben, Abby and Lilly came for a visit with Melanie and Logan. She was glad to see them, but upset when they got to go bye-bye and she had to stay.

We had some difficulties in the evening when we stopped the pain infusion in her epidural. She had some significant pain and was thrashing and crying. Thankfully, morphine provided some help and she was able to get comfortable again.
By Monday, she was feeling better. She actually put on a robe and played with her balloons and her new ball. She didn't get much sleep Sunday night (neither did Mom) as a noisy neighbor moved in at about 2 am. She was pretty tired during the mid-day. But by evening, she was feeling great.
She went for a wagon ride and did great. When the doctor's saw that she could handle the movement to the wagon and such, they decided she could go home. It took Brian 5 trips to the car to get everything out of the room. We barely had enough room for Libby with all the teddy bears and balloons in the back seat.
As we left, she hollered "bye-bye" to EVERYONE and smiled and waved. I think she was excited to see some new sites, but to also know she was going home.
We now face some real challengs as she is confined to a wheelchair, bed or couch. She needs to stay off the leg. She is already saying "I do it!" which though I admire her independence is impossible right now as she has a major owie. She is having to really trust us. She is very nervous about moving and I can tell it is hard for her to trust Mama and Papa to move her. She knows it might hurt a bit and she is scared. Yet, at the same time, she wants to be doing stuff. Please continue to pray for her healing and for our family as we deal with all of this. Abby is freaked out by Libby right now and does not want to get too close. She was very worried about her in the hospital, but now she is scared. Ben is doing great. He gave her a big hug when she came home and helped us just now when we put her to bed. He actually came out to the living room to find Libby's meeshka and took it in to her. What a great helper. Papa has a lot to deal with over the next several days and weeks. Please keep him in your prayers.

Just so you know I've been breathing prayers for Libby and all the family many times a day. You stay on my mind. Thanks for the wonderful updates so we know how to pray.

Oh my goodness--How do you keep a four year old from trying to bounce all over the place? I can see that will be a great challenge. I know it must be great to be home. I'll continue praying for you all as Libby heals.
