We are doing well here at home. Libby is doing great, especially during the day. There are enough distractions, that she doesn't really notice any pain. Night is a different story. She did not sleep well last night. She kept waking up complaining of her leg hurting about every hour or so. I would stroke her head, and she'd fall back asleep. She finally slept soundly from 3am til 8am.
I would greatly appreciate your prayers. I have been having some difficulties at work and feel I need to return tomorrow. That means Brian will be on his own. I had hoped to work a shortened day, but that is not looking likely now. I would also ask for prayers of extra energy. Needless to say, I am exhausted from the 4 days in the hospital. And I am not getting much sleep at night. Please pray that I am able to get through my day and have the energy to come home and help Brian each evening.
Libby is on 5 different medications. She is taking a pain killer called Lortab (Tylenol and Hydrocodone), a nerve medicine called Gabapentin, Cephalexin for a possible urinary tract infection, and Miralax and Docusate for her stools (she hasn't pooped in days). The medicines are all required at different times, so it is quite the schedule to keep track of. And no matter how we tried to schedule it, at least one medicine needs to be given around 2am.
